Dr. Anwar menjelaskan bahwa kemampuan menguasai teknologi kini menjadi kompetensi dasar yang harus dimiliki setiap calon anggota Polri, mulai dari jenjang tamtama, bintara, hingga taruna Akpol.“Beberapa hal yang baru di rekrutmen anggota Polri, tes komputer,” ujar Irjen Anwar.Menurutnya, penerapan tes komputer bertujuan memastikan calon anggota Polri memiliki kemampuan dasar dalam mengoperasikan perangkat digital sehingga siap menghadapi tantangan tugas kepolisian yang semakin modern.“Dari mulai bintara, tamtama, perwira sama, mereka semua Gen Z ini harus mengenal teknologi. Jadi di rekrutmen tamtama, bintara, Akpol ada tes komputernya,” kata Irjen Anwar.“Kalau mereka tidak ngerti komputer, teknologi, mengoperasikan komputer, gadget, mereka akan ketinggalan,” lanjutnya.Selain kemampuan teknologi, Polri juga meningkatkan standar kualitas tes akademik. Tahun ini, materi ujian dirancang setara dengan standar olimpiade sehingga tidak lagi berorientasi pada hafalan, melainkan menguji kemampuan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan pemecahan masalah.“Polisi itu tesnya ada empat. Terkait intelektualitas tesnya tes akademik, bahasa Inggris, pengetahuan umum, matematika dan sebagainya. Dan sekarang ini sudah standar olimpiade,” ungkap Irjen Anwar.“Inilah yang paling kita senang, sudah bukan zamannya soal hafalan lagi atau textbook. Sehingga kualitas mereka itu saat melihat ada permasalahan, bisa menganalisa, memecahkan suatu permasalahan. Ini yang diperlukan Polri di masa depan,” tambahnya.Hingga tahapan akhir seleksi tingkat panitia pusat, sebanyak 404 calon taruna dan taruni mengikuti proses seleksi, terdiri atas 365 calon taruna dan 39 calon taruni. Seluruh peserta sebelumnya telah melalui rangkaian seleksi yang ketat di tingkat panitia daerah dan panitia pusat, meliputi pemeriksaan administrasi, kesehatan, psikologi, akademik, kesamaptaan jasmani, hingga pemeriksaan penampilan (rikpil).Pada tahapan rikpil tingkat pusat, para peserta dinilai secara langsung oleh enam pejabat utama Polri, yaitu Wakapolri Komjen Pol.
